Past Presidents of ANZSOM
Recent past presidents
Dr Dominic Yong (2021-2025)
Dominic is our most recent past President and served between 2021 and 2025. During his tenure, Dominic was a driving force behind a range of valuable initiatives and collaborations - most notably, strengthening our partnership with SOM (UK), expanding our membership base by 35%, and leading strategic developments that have helped position ANZSOM for long-term growth. His leadership has left a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit the organisation well into the future.
Melinda Miller (2014-2021)
As the first nurse President of the Society, Melinda was committed to bringing together the professionals that work in occupational health and building relationships to ensure our visibility and impact. Melinda brought enormous energy to the role and led with integrity and generosity. "Success is shared" was her mantra and we were fortunate to have shared many successes during her tenure, including the signing of the Model of Collaboration with RACP/AFOEM in 2017, and signing of the Memorandum of Collaboration with the UK Society of Occupational Medicine in 2021.
