In this presentation Dave Moen will describe the clinical practice model outlined in his book, Permission to Move. With a particular emphasis on pain science education, self-efficacy theory and the modifiable factors that are likely to improve recovery. Dave welcomes questions to be submitted before the presentation.

About Dave Moen:

 

Dave Moen (Masters Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy) is founder of Form Physiotherapy and Permission to Move in Adelaide, South Australia. His team work to develop and test best-practice interventions for chronic pain. After working with Prof Lorimer Moseley at the Body in Mind research group, he developed Tame the Beast; a freely available animation and podcast series that is widely used in public hospitals and pain programs internationally. Dave is currently working with insurers and public hospitals to develop telehealth interventions that seek to provide affordable, effective and early intervention for people at risk of developing persistent pain.
