Recent publication release from WHO - Preventing Disease through a Healthier and Safer Workplace
This comprehensive global assessment provides insights on the health impacts that could be avoided through healthier and safer workplaces. It is estimated that 2.1% of all deaths and 2.7% of the disease burden worldwide can be attributed to quantified occupational risks. These and the effects from many more unquantified risks are outlined. The report also clearly identifies that prevention strategies are available to avoid a significant percentage of work-related deaths and of the disease burden.
