Professor and Head, Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health 

The Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health (MonCOEH) has been delivering improved health and safety outcomes across Australian workplaces for over a decade, bridging the gap between research, policy and practice. Established in 2008 to promote research and teaching in the broad areas of occupational and environmental health, MonCOEH is committed to further enhancing Monash's standing as a national and international leader in Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) research, education and advisory activities.

The Opportunity

A unique opportunity has arisen for a strategic leader to take up the position of Professor and Head, Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health.

As Professor and Head of MonCOEH, you provide leadership and foster excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development within the School, the University and the broader community, both scholarly and in general. The appointee will innovate and lead education and training, including a PhD program, Master of Occupational and Environmental Health and short courses. 

To be successful, you will be an accomplished academic with a PhD qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing, and be recognised as a leading authority in the relevant discipline. You will be skilled in anticipating future needs and development of occupational and environmental health within Australia and internationally, and present an established track record in various facets of academic management, including the necessary leadership, strategic planning, financial, human resources and decision-making skills needed to manage a department.
