The activities of the organisation are governed by General Council which includes the federal office bearers (Executive) plus a nominee from each Branch Council, usually the Branch Chairperson, and trainee representative. The General Council meets quarterly. In addition, Branch Councils in each state provide a point of local contact for members and manage local educational and networking events. Various Committees operate at a Federal and state/ territory level to support the work of the organisation.

ANZSOM welcomes new President - Dr Rebecca Dingle
At the ANZSOM Annual General Meeting, the baton of ANZSOM President was officially passed from Dr Dominic Yong to Dr Rebecca Dingle. The Society extends its sincere thanks to Dominic for his dedicated service as President over the past six years. During his tenure, Dominic has been a driving force behind a range of valuable initiatives and collaborations, and his leadership has left a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit the organisation well into the future.
Dr Rebecca Dingle is an Occupational and Environmental Physician based in Darwin. She has worked extensively in the mining and resources, construction, health, education and manufacturing industries. She has a strong focus on the implementation of evidence-based injury management programs, health surveillance and monitoring programs that improve worker health and safety, and has recently taken on the role of Chief Medical Officer at the Australian Federal Police. We look forward to the leadership, vision, and enthusiasm that Rebecca will bring to the role.
