Are you ready for ASM2017?

Final preparations are in place, as the organising committee
gears up in the next 10 days!
Here are some things for you to note:

Site visits, PPE requirements

Bookings for the site visits on Monday 21st and Wednesday 23rd August must be made at the Registration Desk in Fremantle, Sunday night at the Maritime Museum or Monday morning at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle.
 

Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for each site visit are as follows:

  • Rottnest Island Authority Facilities: No PPE required
  • Austal Ships: Long sleeved shirt, long pants and steel capped boots
  • Fiona Stanley Hospital: Enclosed flat shoes
  • Orthocell: No PPE required
  • Evolution Commercial: Enclosed flat shoes, long sleeved shirt and long pants
  • Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers: Enclosed flat shoes, long sleeved shirt and long pants

Conference dinner - Nautical fancy dress! 

The conference dinner on Tuesday 22nd August is shaping up to be an event to remember, with great food, interesting speakers, music and more. We urge delegates to embrace the nautical theme of the conference and dress up accordingly. There will be a prize for best dressed so start planning to make your big entrance.


Additional tickets can purchased at the Registration Desk during the conference.

AGM 2017 - office bearer elections

Nominations

Nominations can still be made for the positions of President Elect and Secretary General, with elections to be held at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 23rd August, 8am at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle. Nominations should be made using the prescribed form (link below) and returned to the Secretariat.
 

Proxy votes

Only financial full members can participate in the voting process. If you cannot attend the AGM, you may nominate another financial full member to hold your proxy. Proxy votes must be formally authorised in writing using the proxy form (link below).

NOTE: Proxy forms sent by post or electronically must be received by the Society no later than 24 hours before the commencement of the meeting. Hardcopy proxy forms can be given to the Secretariat (Registration Desk)  before or at the commencement of the meeting.
